API SPCE 5CT tiub digunakan untuk mengangkut minyak mentah atau gas asli dari lapisan minyak dan gas asli ke permukaan. Ia mempunyai tekanan yang lebih baik semasa pengeluaran minyak atau gas dan diameter yang lebih kecil.
API 5ct Oil selongsong boleh dibahagikan kepada paip keluli lancar dan paip keluli yang dikimpal. Paip keluli dikimpal terutamanya merujuk kepada paip keluli jahitan lurus. Selongsong minyak diameter besar biasanya tenggelam arka yang dikimpal paip keluli jahitan lurus. The Negara -negara permohonan utama produk ini terutamanya diedarkan di Timur Tengah, Eropah dan Amerika. Selongsong API5CT boleh diklasifikasikan ke dalam spesifikasi R-1, R-2 dan R-3 mengikut panjangnya. Bahan utama ialah J55, K55, N80, L80, C90, T95, P110, Q125, V150and So On.
